Minor Ailments is a free* health service available in Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and the Isle of Man which permits the pharmacist to provide prescription treatment for a range of minor ailments (where appropriate) following a consultation with the patient (all consultations are treated confidentially).
*Eligibility criteria apply – speak to your pharmacist in store.
Pharmacists can recognise many common health complaints and are able to provide advice and if appropriate medicines that will help to treat the condition. If the problem is more serious and requires the attention of a GP, your pharmacist will refer you to them where necessary.
If you are not eligible for this service, you can still go to your pharmacist for advice.
